individuals with hearing concerns. The Part-Time Speech-Language
Pathologist provides evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services
for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. This
role emphasizes evidence-based therapy, patient education, and
collaboration with caregivers and other healthcare professionals in
a clinical setting. The SLP may evaluate and treat individuals with
the following conditions: A. Speech Disorders ? Articulation and
phonological disorders ? Fluency disorders (e.g., stuttering) ?
Voice and resonance disorders B. Language Disorders ? Receptive and
expressive language impairments ? Disorders affecting phonology,
morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics ? Spoken and written
language difficulties C. Social Communication Disorders ?
Difficulty with social use of verbal and nonverbal communication ?
Challenges with conversational rules, storytelling, and adapting
communication to setting or listener ? Social communication
impairments related to autism spectrum disorder or traumatic brain
injury D. Cognitive-Communication Disorders ? Impairments in
attention, memory, organization, planning, and problem-solving ?
Commonly associated with stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia,
or congenital conditions E. Swallowing Disorders (Dysphagia) ?
Feeding and swallowing difficulties related to illness, injury,
surgery, or neurological conditions Essential Duties &
Responsibilities 1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations using
standardized and informal assessment tools. 2. Diagnose speech,
language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. 3.
Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment
plans. 4. Provide direct one-on-one therapy to pediatric and/or
adult patients. 5. Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as
clinically indicated. 6. Maintain timely, accurate clinical
documentation in compliance with state and clinic standards. 7.
Educate patients and caregivers on treatment goals, progress, and
home strategies. 8. Collaborate with audiologists, physicians,
educators, and other allied health professionals. Additional
Clinical Services (As Applicable) ? Aural rehabilitation for
individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing ? Augmentative and
Alternative Communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe
expressive or receptive language disorders ? Communication
enhancement services, including accent modification or professional
communication skills Qualifications 1. Master’s degree in
Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. 2. Active
California Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility to
obtain. 3. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language
Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred. 4. Strong clinical reasoning,
communication, and organizational skills. 5. Ability to work
independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
