Position: QC and Document Control Specialist Pay Rate: $25/hr Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30am - 4pm Location: Carlsbad, Ca QC & Document Purpose: Responsible for inspecting and testing products to ensure they meet regulatory and company standards, maintaining accurate quality control documentation, and supporting internal and external audits. This role also involves managing document control procedures to ensure consistency and compliance. Additionally, the specialist serves as a backup for the international customer service team, handling inquiries, processing orders, and resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction. This position requires experience in quality control, familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO 13485 and GMP, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and effective communication abilities. QC and Document Control Responsibilities: o Inspect and test medical products and materials to ensure they meet company and regulatory standards. o Use precision measuring tools and equipment to verify product specifications. o Document inspection results and maintain accurate records. o Identify and report any defects or non-conformities. o Collaborate with production teams to implement quality control measures and improvements. o Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished medical devices to ensure they meet specifications and regulatory requirements. o Perform sampling and testing according to established procedures, including inspections of product conformity, packaging integrity, and labeling accuracy. o Document inspection results and communicate findings, including non- conformance issues or deviations, to the production and quality teams. o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspection results and corrective actions, ensuring all documentation is traceable and compliant with FDA, ISO 13485, and other applicable standards. o Collaborate with production teams to address any quality issues and assist in root cause analysis for non-conformances. o Ensure that all inspection equipment is calibrated, maintained, and functioning properly in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. o Assist with audits, inspections, and any required certifications or compliance activities. o Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and uphold GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards at all times. o Support the quality team in continuous improvement efforts, including contributing to quality initiatives and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities. o Manage and maintain quality control documentation, including inspection reports, calibration records, and compliance certificates. o Ensure that documents are updated in compliance with the company’s quality management system and regulatory requirements.
