Analyst, (HRBA) is an HR Professional that is responsible for
providing administrative support within the benefits discipline of
the Human Resources Department, providing service and guidance to
employees of the company from multiple locations. The HRBA will
coordinate and administer the benefits offered by the company as
well as be responsible for the administration of legislated and
non-legislated leaves of absence(s), time off accrual tracking,
Worker's Compensation claims administration, COBRA administration,
and co-chairing the OneLegacy OSHA/Safety Committee. Provides
benefit plan interpretation, guidance and counsel to employees,
HRIS representatives, and managers. Presents information to inform
and educate management. Serves as a liaison with service providers
in business planning and benefit program interpretation. Compliance
and technical interpretive discussions with benefit counsel and
enrolled actuary or consultants. Works in partnership with the
Finance and Accounting Department to ensure billing and
reconciliations are documented and provided in accordance with best
practices and audit reporting requirements.Facilitates benefit
enrollment and communication of benefit plans including Worker's
Compensation and COBRA to current and former employee(s). Handles
benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable,
courteous resolution. Maintains contact in person, by phone or
email with necessary parties for benefits resolutions.Participates
in the new hire orientation process including coordination and
training all new hires on workplace safety.Creates and maintains
records, reports and logs pertaining to the company's benefits
suite utilizing the designated HRIS.Coordinates the separation
process for COBRA administration, benefits file closure, and
closing action items as needed.Coordinates and reconciles billing
between HR and Finance/Accounting for the company's invoices in
accordance with timelines and deadlines.Actively participates in
and coordinates the the company's annual open enrollment.Plans and
coordinates benefits meetings, presentations and appointments (in
person, off-site, conference calls, etc.) pertaining to the
company's benefits suite for newly eligible and existing the
company's employees in a timely and proactive fashion.Co-chairs the
the company's Safety and OSHA Committee by coordinating meetings,
taking minutes, posting new business, sending out reminders and a
variety of communications to committee members in relation to
workplace safety and worker's compensation benefits for regulatory
compliance purposes.Tracks and audits time off accruals in
relationship to leaves of absences in accordance with HR stipulated
guidelines. Ensures checks and balances, compliance, and proper
payment of coordinated leave pay and collection of benefits
premiums.Provides administrative support on all leaves of absences
within the guidelines of the company's policy and procedure and
state and federal law such as FMLA, CFRA, PDL, Jury Duty, Military
Leave, etc.Administers workers' compensation claims including
working with the employee, supervisor, manager, broker, insurance
carrier, and treating physician as necessary.Develops benefit
information and statistical and census data for actuaries,
insurance carriers and management as needed.Assures that all labor
law posters/notices are up to date and posted at corporate and all
other satellite locations. Works with designated individuals at
satellite locations to distribute the posters/notices timely.Job
Qualifications:Education:Four (4) year college or university degree
required.Experience:1. Minimum 5+ years of recent experience in a
Benefits Administration position with an HR department of a
mid-sized Company or similar experience required.2. Experience
working with an HR information database system required. Benefits
database experience preferred.Strong proficiency of Microsoft
Office, essential.Familiarity with state and federal laws governing
benefits administration, leaves, worker's compensation
