Grumman Space Systems, Payload & Ground Systems, Strategic Force
Programs in Azusa, CA, is seeking an innovative Principal (Level 3)
or /Sr. Principal (Level 4) Systems Engineer to support System
Engineering Digital Transformation initiatives across the
organization. Candidate would support Model-Based Systems
Engineering (MBSE), development of virtual simulations of
real-world entities, system requirements and architectural
modeling, and requirements and verification in support of the
development of space payloads and ground systems. The organization
supports space-based surveillance systems for varied missions
including missile warning/defense and environmental monitoring. A
qualified candidate will collaborate with diverse engineering teams
across the product lifecycle from pre-proposal through product
development, delivery, and sustainment to assist in understanding
customer solution intent, establishing and managing the technical
baseline, supporting system modeling, and developing content for
review milestones. This role will report on-site daily. We can
accommodate partial telework, but is dependent upon
business/program need.Additional responsibilities may be assigned
commensurate with performance or due to business needs.Basic
Qualifications: (Principal Level 3)Bachelor's Degree in a STEM
field with 5 years related technical experience in a Space /Defense
industry position, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field & 3 years
of related technical experience in a space/defense industryAbility
to obtain & maintain a DoD security clearance (US Citizenship
Required)Hands-on experience building system models in SysML using
tools such as CameoExperience with requirements management tools
such as DOORS (Classic or Next Gen)Basic Qualifications: (Sr.
Principal Level 4)Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field with 9 years
related technical experience in a Space /Defense industry position,
OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field & 7 years of related technical
experience in a space/defense industryAbility to obtain & maintain
a DoD security clearance (US Citizenship Required)Hands-on
experience building system models in SysML using tools such as
CameoExperience with requirements management tools such as DOORS
(Classic or Next Gen)Broad background in digital engineering
technologies with an understanding of the processes and tools
available to create virtual representations of physical
systemsPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in a STEM field
with 7 years (Sr. Principal Engineer) of experience in a Space
/Defense industry positionActive DoD TS/SSBI clearanceExperience
with Modeling & Simulations tools such as STK, Simulink, and
MatlabExperience with developing Design Reference Missions
(DRMs)Experience/exposure to DODAF modeling and generating
customer-delivered DODAF viewsExperience in an Agile modeling
environmentSalary Range: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USDSalary Range 2:
$129,700 USD - $194,500 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
