Become a **CAPS Credit Administrator** at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job you will be responsible for evaluating and resolving customer inquiries, issues and problems, ensuring appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the customer, company, and/or CPUC in compliance with policies, procedures, tariff rules and rates. You will monitor the collection and credit risk activity of accounts, primarily commercial and industrial. You will lead efforts to collect past due monies from customers, working from spreadsheets, databases, and worklists, attempting to obtain payment in full to SCE. You will review approximately 30k accounts representing $25M in revenue per year.

**A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!**

+ Serve as a primary contact for commercial customers with past due balances > $10,000 or residential customers with past due balances > $3,000 and/or customers profiled to a credit administrator based on past payment history.

+ Analyze customer billing period, amount billed, and amount owed.

+ Create spreadsheet or other documentation to present to customer as evidence of money owed.

+ Negotiate with customer, controller, or officers to set payment arrangements or payment extensions on rebills, deposits, or outstanding balances. This may include in-person or virtual negotiations, following COVID protocol.

+ Responsible for staying current on credit and collection laws, rules and tariffs. Ensure all practices and procedures are changed/updated to comply with new laws, changes in existing laws, and any Order Instituting Rulemaking (OIR). Provide guidance and ensures internal partners are aware and in compliance when dealing with customers.

+ Provide guidance and functional direction to Contact Call Center (CCC) and Revenue Services Organization (RSO) Employees, Business Customer Division (BCD), Meter Services Organization (MSO) and other internal partners regarding collection/credit risk and payment arrangement negotiations.

+ Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


**The essentials**

+ Five or more years of experience in a credit, collections, or customer service environment.

+ At least 6 months of experience in a collection environment.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

**The preferred**

+ Utility collections experience.

+ Knowledge of policies, procedures, rules and tariffs, especially as applied to Commercial and Industrial customers.

+ Experience with SAP or similar enterprise wide system.

+ Experience interfacing with internal and external clients.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Experience analyzing data and presenting recommendations based on findings.

+ Experience identifying issues and resolutions, decision making, and results delivery.

+ Strong ethics, influence and negotiation skills.

+ Engage in continuous learning.

+ **Work Mode:** The position's work mode is **remote** . Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion.
