Payroll Supervisor

DescriptionThe Payroll Supervisor is responsible for performing, facilitating, organizing and monitoring the systematic and accurate compilation, processing, paying, reporting and overall financial management and reporting of OneLegacy's labor costs. Note, this is the fiscal management and reporting of labor, not the operational management of labor. This position also assists management in planning, budgeting, allocating and controlling the labor costs and resources of OneLegacy.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Maintains timekeeping and payroll systems. Ensures payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant, and timely manner.
2. Updates and processes payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises, etc.) and system upgrades.
3. Produces and issues paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts.
4. Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
5. Prepare payroll account reconciliations.
6. Resolves issues and answers payroll-related questions.
7. Supports all internal and external audits related to payroll.
8. Ensures compliance with relevant policies and procedures, statutory reporting, and filing requirements.
9. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions.
10. Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
11. Maintains professional and technical knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
13. Produce and distribute, requested information and reports as needed or requested.
14. Attend meetings as required and participate on committees as directed.
Location: Corporate office.
Travel: Occasionally required to travel by personal auto or air to meeting sites and other locations.
Work Hours:
Exempt employees shall be paid an established salary on a bi-weekly basis and are expected to fulfill the duties of their position regardless of hours worked. The workweek for full-time exempt is normally considered to be 40 hours; however, greater emphasis is placed on meeting the responsibilities assigned to the position than on working a specific number of hours. Exempt employees are not eligible to receive overtime compensation. Must be available evenings, holidays and weekends as required.

Education: Bachelor's degree with major in Business/Accounting/Finance or other related field.
Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in a related position. Healthcare experience preferred.
Certification/License: OneLegacy requires employees to maintain a current California driver's license and current vehicle insurance. Please refer to OneLegacy's Policy HR108 - Licensure and Certification for insurance coverage requirements. Professional certification, such as the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), is strongly preferred.
Equipment: Working knowledge of personal computer, telephone systems, photocopier, and postage machine. Reliable automotive transportation required.
