Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector in Azusa, CA is seeking a Sr. Principal Industrial Security Analyst (Level 4) to join our team. Selected candidate will contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in the field within the organization. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex tasks. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Develops solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives. Most assignments are complex and performed independently without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Effects of decisions are long lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources as well as problems with customer satisfaction. Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives. Acts as an advisor to senior management and customers. Position Summary / Responsibilities

Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor's access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of related program security experience, OR a Master's Degree and 8 years of related program security experience
  • Current SSBI/Tier 5 Investigation
  • Familiarity with Government Security Manuals (NISPOM, ICD's)
  • Experience working with DCSA and Restricted Security

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • 10 years program security experience
  • Knowledgeable and able to answer questions; provide procedure and policy guidance, and supply approvals in accordance with Government Security requirements
  • Experience working with customer-based security component
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with internal/external customers and across organizational elements
  • Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion
  • Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines
