These products are marketed all around the world and include HemoTypeSC (www.hemotype.com), which is a groundbreaking rapid test for sickle cell disease and PenCheck (www.penchecktest.com), which is the world's first rapid test for African Swine Fever in pigs. SLRC is also an industry-leading developer of MAbs for governmental, academic, and private industrial research and development. Our EAP--- System has produced thousands of monoclonal antibodies per year for commercial and research use - all for "difficult" or "impossible" targets. Our rapid diagnostics empower human and veterinary screening programs in some of the most challenging settings worldwide. Our consumer and environmental test kits are trusted in virtually any environment - from home kitchens, to offshore oil rigs, to nuclear power plants. SLRC is growing at such a rate that it is looking to urgently expand its Research & Development team. There is a major need for management-level Scientists to lead MAb and product development projects, thereby establishing new teams and leading the company forward into 2021. This Scientist position will specialize in the design and development of new immunoassays for a wide variety of applications, ranging from human diagnostics, to veterinary diagnostics, to confidential test development projects for governmental agencies. We desire a creative and flexible scientist capable of inventive problem solving, who is able to immediately lead and manage a team of Research Associates. Major Responsibilities: --- Design and development of new LFA tests and other immunoassays. --- Generation and production of new MAbs. --- Communication and collaboration with other SLRC teams and customers. --- Continuous reporting of scientific progress to the Director of R&D and CEO. Ideal Qualifications: --- Solid background in the theory and practice of immunoassay techniques. --- Direct experience with cell culture and sterile technique. --- 5+ years' experience in immunoassays / immunology / microbiology. --- Experience with antibody / protein purification and modification preferred. --- Familiarity with QSR / ISO / cGMP and regulatory issues and practices a plus. --- Supervisory experience a plus. --- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and lab management skills. --- Computer literacy and strong oral and written communication skills. --- Ability to work efficiently with minimal direction.
