For a Level 3 Principal Software Engineer, a bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and 5 years of related software engineering experience, OR a master's degree in a STEM field and 3 years of related experience.2. For a Level 4 Senior Principal Software engineer, bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 9 years of related software engineering experience OR a master's degree in a STEM field with 5 years of related software engineering experience, OR a PhD in a STEM field.Demonstrated professional level experience in C/C++ (object-oriented) SW development and some exposure or experience as an embedded SW engineer. Additionally, some experience with Java or Python SW development and the ability to rapidly adapt and learn others as needs arise.US Citizenship with an active DoD Secret level clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Excellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and analytic skillsTeam leadership experienceThrive on colleague interactions and collaborationsProficiency in software configuration management and version control tools (ClearCase, Git/GitHub, Subversion)Proficiency in Agile development concepts, methodologies, and associated tools (Jira/Atlassian tools)Experience with requirements development, software design, architecture, and codeExperience developing and/or implementing complex algorithmsExperience with Static Code Analysis (SCA) tools (Fortify, Understand, SonarQube)Experience with unit testing (tools, frameworks, automation)Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)Linux operating system experience (administration would be a plus)Active and current DoD Secret clearance or higherSalary Range: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USDSalary Range 2: $129,700 USD - $194,500 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
