Grumman Payload & Ground Space Systems is seeking experienced
Software Engineers (Level 2) to join our diverse team, working
software Test and Integration for Overhead Persistent Infrared
(OPIR) satellite ground systems or for payload data processing and
support. This position will be located in Azusa, CA. We can
accommodate partial telework, but this is dependent upon
business/program/team need. Due to this it will not always be a
consistent hybrid schedule.(Performance Objectives) For Band 2:In
this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:Some
experience with understanding requirements, writing Requirements
Verification Plans, Test Plan & Procedures, and analyzing
requirements for testability.Test and integrate software written in
various computer languages such as C++ and Python.Communicate and
work effectively with team members in an agile and dynamic team
environmentPerform on project tasks with minimal guidance
supporting junior team membersMeet project milestones while
ensuring software test standards are metAssist with root cause
analysis of software bugsDevelop knowledge of critical areas of the
software systemInterface with other groups and subject matter
experts within and outside of the projectParticipate in the
day-to-day support of the program in resolving critical/urgent
program/technical issuesMaintain the test environment, security
posture, and work with System Administrators to diagnose network
issues.Help developers setup the appropriate environment to help
recreate issues and prove problems are resolved after fixes are
implemented.Basic Qualifications for a Band 2:Bachelor's Degree in
Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related Science,
Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 2
years related software engineering experience OR Master's Degree in
STEM disciplineStrong analytical skills to decompose requirements,
determine test methodologies, and assess performance test data.Some
experience writing Requirements Verification Plans, Test Plan &
Procedures, analyzing requirements for testability.Proficiency with
MS OfficeGood written and oral communication skillsSome experience
in working with Linux & AIX platformsKnowledge of software
configuration management and version control tools such as
ClearCase, ClearQuest, and GitKnowledge of Agile development
concepts, methodologies and tools such as JIRAAbility to work well
in a team.U.S. Citizenship is required.Ability to obtain and
maintain Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications for Band
2:Knowledge of scripting, automating tests and DevSecOps.Languages:
C++, Python, and RubyGood basic communication and organizational
skills; good interpersonal and analytic skillsAbility to implement
process improvement, streamline activities, and develop
efficienciesCurrent DoD Secret security clearanceSalary Range:
$85,000 USD - $127,400 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
