Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector is seeking a Principal (Level
3) or Sr. Principal (Level 4) Lead Software Engineer to join our
team in Azusa, CA.
Technical lead engineer will have the opportunity to lead a team of
software engineers architecting new solutions, designing,
developing, unit testing and integrating software components with
hardware and other software components.
Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools
throughout the system development life cycle. Interfaces with
customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and
support personnel.
Basic Qualifications: (Level 3)
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology,
Engineering or Mathematics) & 5 years of experience with embedded
software design, development, and implementation, OR a Master's
Degree in a STEM field and 3 years of experience with embedded
software design, development, and implementation
- Experience leading a software engineering team
- Proficiency in C++
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong
interpersonal and analytic skills
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to acquire and maintain a DoD
Secret Clearance.
Basic Qualifications: (Level 4)
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology,
Engineering or Mathematics) & 9 years of experience with embedded
software design, development, and implementation, OR a Master's
Degree in a STEM field and 7 years of experience with embedded
software design, development, and implementation
- Experience leading a software engineering team
- Proficiency in C++
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong
interpersonal and analytic skills
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to acquire and maintain a DoD
Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering
or Mathematics)
- Experience with real-time programming using high level
programming languages
- Experience with Python or Ruby programming language
- Experience with VxWorks
- Experience with software design and UML modeling tools
- Experience with Spacecraft-to-Payload software interface
- Experience with Ground-to-Space software interface
- Active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to acquire Top
Secret
Salary Range: $101,400 USD - $152,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $125,800 USD - $188,600 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
