Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector is seeking a Subject Matter
Expert in Cable and Harness design to join our team of qualified,
diverse individuals. This position can be filled at the principal
(level 3) or sr. principal (level 4). This position will be located
in Azusa, CA. We are looking for someone who has the ability to
report on-site daily, but we can accommodate teleworking upon
business/program need. The successful applicant will perform design
and analysis of cable and harness assemblies at component,
subsystem, and system level. Candidate must have experience in
interface and cable design and experience with MIL-STD components,
including connectors, wires, and other EEE parts. Experience with
system interconnect and system architecture is critical for
success. The position requires working with multi-discipline
functions in a team environment to ensure that deliverable products
meet requirements. Specific assignments include deriving and
documenting design requirements, performing trade studies,
developing system interconnects, system interface and cable
diagrams, parts selection and creating full interface and cable
design. Additional assignments include manufacturing and
fabrication support, testing hardware and troubleshooting to
support anomaly resolution during integration and test. Candidate
may be required to make technical presentations to internal team or
customer team. Other responsibilities include development and cable
drawings (schematic, wirelist, assembly), parts selection, trade
studies, and troubleshooting to support anomaly resolution during
integration and test. Additional responsibilities commensurate of
individual performance and organizational needs. Basic
