Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector is seeking an Embedded Software (Level 2) Engineer to join our team in Azusa, CA.
Embedded engineer will have the opportunity to design, develop, operate and maintain software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific and manufacturing requirements. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) & 2 years of related embedded software design, development, and implementation experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field
  • Strong real-time programming skills with high level programming languages
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance must be held and maintained. U.S. Citizenship is required.Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
    • Experience with C++ programming language
    • Experience with Python programming language
    • Experience with VxWorks
    • Experience as a technical lead in an Integrated Product Team environment
    • Experience with software design and UML modeling tools
    • Experience with Spacecraft-to-Payload software interface
    • Experience with Ground-to-Space software interface
    • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with ability to acquire SCI Access

      Salary Range: 81700 - 122500

      Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
