Job Description:

The LVN in the ED performs services requiring technical and manual skills, under the direction of a licensed physician or a registered professional nurse. Specific areas of responsibility include administration of medications, performance of treatments, and participation in assessment, planning and education of patient care. Prefer someone with EMT experience. Must be able to work with Psych patients. This position will be primarily working with a critically ill through rehabilitating adolescent to geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of the individual served. Meets or exceeds customer service improvement targets as demonstrated by dashboards, etc. General Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing (if LVN) Current California license to practice vocational nursing. Satisfactory completion of state approved IV Therapy Course with IV certification if LVN. BLS NIHSS Certification Knowledge of Psychiatric Medication and Patients Rights. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS ICU ACLS Completion of basic dysrhythmia course. Minimum one year Med/Surg experience. ER ACLS MAB or PART or CPI Certification PALS Minimum one year Med/Surg experience.
