role? /n The Senior LVN is an encouraging role to the department
lead LVN and/or department leadership. This role is responsible for
delivering direct patient care, coordinating patient care
workflows, coordinating, and supervising staffing to meet the needs
in the operations of the practice. The senior LVN will work
collaboratively with clinical staff, physicians, leadership and
other fields of the medical team to deliver safe and efficient
patient-centered care. /n Job Duties and Responsibilities /n /n -
Provides orientation and training for new clinical staff. Conducts
departmental orientation and assures that onboarding measures have
been met to meet the needs of the department and of the employee.
/n - Maintains a functional work environment by maintaining quality
assurance/quality control logs, regulatory needs within the
clinical space, needed supply levels, and housekeeping throughout
the work environment. /n - Coordinates prescribed medications,
injections, or IV medications using best practice and as advised by
provider. /n - Provides basic patient care and treatments such as
taking vitals, performing diagnostic tests, phlebotomy, and
specimen collection advised by the provider. /n - Observes patient,
documents, and reports any changes in condition to the provider for
instructions in taking vital actions for care. /n - Evaluates
nursing intervention outcomes within the LVN scope of practice. /n
- Maintains patient care flow. Serves as a patient advocate and
utilizes appropriate resources to support patient care. /n -
Answers patient and physician incoming messages with provider
input. /n - Provides review of MA skills and performance abilities
using designated evaluation tools. /n - Performs quality assurance
and quality control measures to maintain compliance in the clinical
environment. /n - Maintains current knowledge of organizational
policies and procedures. /n - Coordinates and assures accurate
clinical team coverage needed to support providers and provide safe
patient care. /n /n/nQualifications/nEducation: - Completion of an
accredited Vocational Nurse program Licenses/Certifications: -
Valid CA LVN license required - BLS certification from the American
Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross required - IV/BW
(intravenous/blood withdrawal) certification required Experience: -
3 years of LVN experience required
