Medical Assistant Location: Playa Vista, CA Agency: TechLink Systems, Inc. Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Medical Assistant Location (On-site, Remote, or Hybrid?): Playa Vista, CA (onsite) Contract Duration: 13 weeks Working hours: Day 5x8-Hour (06:00 - 18:00) Total hours: 40 Required Qualifications: 2 years working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting 1 year of OBGYN setting experience Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture HSD/GED BLS (AHA or ARC) Flu vaccination (no exemptions/no declinations) Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries Job Duties: Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider NOTE: These statements describe the primary duties and responsibilities of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all tasks.
