DescriptionPosition Description: The Surgical Recovery Technician is responsible for the aseptic surgical recovery of donated cadaveric Tissues and Organs that is used in transplantation. Tissue to be recovered includes but not limited to: Ocular, Musculoskeletal, Dermal, Vascular, and Cardiac Tissue. Performs the Recovery of Organs for research; performs Organ Recovery coordination; and preforms Kidney Pumping. Provide living related OR Support. Performs screening at the Corner offices and referral triage to identify potential donors. SRT performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with policies and procedures, and regulations (as outlined by the FDA, UNOS, CMS, and other applicable federal, state and local laws). Qualifications: Highly qualified candidates must have one of the following: Possess a Bachelor's degree (BS) from an accredited four-year college or university, completion of an EMT program, completion of a ER Technologist or Surgical Technologist program, current or previous licensure as a paramedic, previous experience in the Tissue or Organ recovery industry or experience in the allied health field. CEBT and/or CTBS certifications are preferred. A current California driver's license, auto insurance based on California minimal insurance coverage standards and reliable automotive transportation is required. Qualified applicants must be able to successfully complete the OneLegacy application, successfully pass a background screening process and successfully pass a coroner office background check. Salary Range
$23.00 to $25.00
