Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector is seeking a Systems Engineer
(Level 3 Principal or level 4 Sr. Principal) to join our team of
qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in
Azusa, CA or Redondo Beach, CA. This position will be on a hybrid
schedule where most of the work will be done on-site, but we can
accommodate partial teleworking upon business/program need.
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and
validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness
analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of
total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication,
test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures
the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product
requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge
technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional
analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements
allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer
requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Roles and Responsibilities:
--- Apply knowledge of systems engineering principles and
processes
--- Participate in all aspects of Systems Engineering throughout
the full program lifecycle (concept definition, design, and test),
using model based systems engineering (MBSE) methods
--- Assist with definition of high level functional and performance
requirements and verification methods, subsequent analysis,
decomposition, and derivation of requirements, allocation of those
lower-level requirements to physical and functional architectural
elements, and tracking them through design, verification, and
integration
--- Partner with subject matter experts and technology experts to
execute the systems engineering statement of work
Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of relevant experience, or a
Master's degree in STEM with 3 years of relevant experience
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (US Citizenship
Required)
Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in STEM with 9 years of relevant experience, or a
Master's degree in STEM with 7 years of relevant experience
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (US Citizenship
Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
--- Active DoD Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $129,700 USD - $194,500 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
