Description: Job Title: Senior Manager, Systems Engineering - Systems Security Job Location: Anaheim, CACandidates with ACTIVE DoD clearances will be eligible to receive the following sign on bonus:Secret Clearance - $20,000 Job Description:This position is responsible for the Functional Management of the Systems Security Engineering Department (4624), which is under the larger Systems Engineering Organization in Navigation Solutions (NS) at L3Harris in Anaheim, CA. Systems Security focuses on Anti-Tamper (AT), Cybersecurity, and Information Assurance (IA) on DoD Programs. Navigation Solutions products provide advanced military GPS and other Position, Navigation, Timing (PNT) capabilities in military embedded real-time systems and can be used in weapons, ground, airborne, maritime, and space environments. Essential Functions:

• Leads, directs, and reviews the work of Engineering professionals.
• Develops and executes strategies and roadmaps for Systems Security.
• Communicates within and outside own function to explain and gains cooperation on policies and practices.
• Makes moderate to substantial improvements to processes, systems, and solutions.
• Plans and establishes goals, objectives, and training for the team with direct impact on the short-term and long-term operational results for the department.
• Leads, directs, coaches, and reviews the work of direct report(s) to accomplish near-term operational plans and results.
• Provides input on hiring, firing, promotion, performance and/or compensation decisions for own organization.
• Works under consultative direction against annual goals and objectives to manage large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization.
• Maintains outstanding communication with higher management and with the employees in the department.
• Meets all programmatic and administrative suspenses.
• Manages unit-assigned budgets and forecasts manpower obligations/needs. Qualifications:
• Position requires a Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline with minimum 12 years or a graduate degree with a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience.
• 5+ years experience leading/managing/tracking projects, proposals, processes, and employees working within the Systems Security Engineering discipline (SSE).
• 5+ years experience cross-functional teams for successful completion of project objectives within stringent technical, schedule, and budget requirements.
• 5+ years experience of earned value management, metrics development and tracking, basis of estimates, and technology road mapping.
• 5+ years experience Systems Security Engineering in GPS and/or other DoD fielded systems, including Algorithm Development, Modeling and Simulation (M&S), Crypto, Hardware/Software design and implementation, Systems Requirements and Architecture, and Verification/Validation/Accreditation (VV&A) desired.
• 5+ years experience with approving organizations
• This position requires an Active DoD SECRET security clearance Preferred Additional Skills:
• Must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Prior leadership experience in GPS/PNT and successful leader and manager of direct reports a plus. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $144,000 - $268,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
