Position Summary: The Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for the development, oversight and implementation of the regulatory standards across the supply chain in support of business objectives. This position effectively collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive regulatory compliance of the products and processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate acute critical thinking skills to craft and execute solutions in a fast changing environment. This candidate must be forward-thinking in their approach to maintain the quality and food safety of our products. As a subject matter expert, the candidate will assist in representing Bonduelle with federal, state and local government agencies, industry associations and/or other organizations for the purpose of negotiating legislation, regulations and/or guidelines that impact our business strategy. Primary Duties + Leads regulatory management programs and develops regulatory strategies for the organization that align with the overall business strategy, such as 'horizon scanning', risk mitigation, and executional excellence across our supply chain.+ Provides advanced knowledge, technical expertise and support to assure compliance to all applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements, standards, and trends, including but not limited to: food processing, food safety, label compliance, ingredients, formulations, allergen management, standards of identity, nutrition, voluntary labeling, claims, etc.+ Manages overall relationship with applicable regulatory bodies, such as USDA and FDA. Strong interaction with outside contacts, as a proponent of company positions, including regulatory bodies, trade groups, industry associations, regulatory panels, etc. Utilizes a network of regulatory and legal contacts, where necessary.+ Assures compliance with applicable laws and standards for all regulatory requirements for labeling, standards of identity, nutrition, food safety and other regulations applicable to the products produced.+ Provides technical support and manages compliance to key regulatory requirements, such as labeling, label review and submission, rapid retrieval, crisis management, net weight, voluntary labeling (Organic, Kosher, etc.)+ Stays up to date on regulatory developments and an ability to research, when needed, along with engaging necessary stakeholders of new information.+ Serves as an active member of the organizational Quality and Food Safety team, providing relevant updates and on-going support to facilities and other business stakeholders.+ Actively participates in all development, commercialization, implementation, and refinement of products being produced for our customers, related to regulations, labeling, etc.+ Serves as a single point of contact for all internal and external customer questions regarding regulations, labeling, etc. + Tracks and monitors progress and closure of any regulatory compliance opportunities.+ Manages internal auditing process for regulatory compliance policies and programs.+ Energetic, self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and work with multifunctional teams.+ Other related responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: + BS Degree in Food Science or related field. A MS degree in a related field is preferred.+ At least 5 years of professional experience in Quality and Food Safety.+ At least 3 years of experience in Supervisory Management and Leadership roles.+ Knowledge and experience with the label review process required.+ Advanced knowledge and experience of USDA and FDA regulations required.+ HACCP Certification required.+ FSMA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual Certification required.+ Technical proficiency with computers and computer programs,, e.g, Google, Microsoft Suite Additional Qualifications: + Excellent written and verbal communication skills+ Ability to interact and collaborate well as a team, including cross-functional stakeholders+ Ability to analyze complex data, draw conclusions and make recommendations + Ability to articulate and sell quality assurance programs and continuous improvement goals to involved stakeholders+ Ability to assimilate new information quickly and react positively to new and challenging opportunities + Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers+ Ability to make progress in spite of setbacks or lack of clarity + Ability to manage and resolve conflicts + Ability to operate effectively in a fast-changing environment + Ability to solve problems through data, processes and influencing skills + Knowledge of quality assurance program methodologies and implementation within manufacturing environment+ Ability to flex schedules as business needs+ Must be able to manage projects from beginning to end+ Ability to travel (25%)
