Grumman Space Systems sector is seeking a Test Inspection Manager 2
to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The test
inspection manager 2 will report to our Mission Assurance group.
This position will be located in Azusa, CA and be reporting to the
physical campus on a daily basis.What you will get to do:This
management role will oversee the direct supervision/management of a
bargaining unit union inspection staff that is responsible for
determining compliance and product integrity. This group oversees
the space flight hardware to industry and Northrop Grumman
specifications at the Azusa site.Key Characteristics:
- Providing direction to subordinates based on general policies
and management guidance to support program objectives.
- Provide Training plan for Inspection Personnel on ESD, FOD/FOE,
Contamination / Environmental Controls, following Prod. Orders for
Hardware AI&T.
- Knowledge in general inspection techniques and theory for both
mechanical and electronic assemblies including familiarity with
IPC, J-STD, MIL-STD and NASA workmanship standards.
- Excellent communication / interpersonal skills required to
interface with PMO's, IPT's, Internal / External Customer (NASA,
DCMA, USSF, NGC, LM) representatives at various management levels
concerning operations, hardware status and scheduling.
- Must have the ability to prepare and conduct briefings and
participate in technical meetings concerning operations, hardware
flow, mission assurance processes and customer / program
objectives.
- Must be capable of implementing Site Floor / Hardware / Process
Audits and interface during AS9100 / ISO Compliance Reviews,
Corporate BSR's, DCMA and Customer Audits.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment with high
expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team
settings across all levels.
- Must be comfortable in a manufacturing, integration, assembly,
and test environment and be able to collaborate closely with system
engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers.
- Capable of providing direction and guidance to Inspection
personnel on Operational Efficiencies, working in a Class C (Rapid)
environment, Digital Transformation and Work Force Engagement.Basic
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field & 7 years of related
experience
- 3 years of leadership experience (people, teams, projects,
programs)
- Familiar with SAP / MES for Production Orders, Quality
Notifications, Non-Conforming Material (Preliminary Review / MRB /
FRB), Time Charging Modules for Union members
- Proficient in MS Office programs (MS Access, Excel, Word)
- Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD security clearance (US
Citizenship Required)Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a STEM field & 10+ years of related
experience
- 3+ years of functional management experience
- Current & active DoD secret security clearance Salary Range:
$107,800 USD - $161,800 USD Employees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
