Machinist located in Simi Valley, CA We are seeking a skilled
Senior Level Machinist to join our Tooling and Fabrication team in
Simi Valley, CA. In this role, you'll set up and operate
conventional and specialized machining equipment to fabricate both
metallic and non-metallic parts. You will also program and operate
CNC machines, Hybrid CNC Mill, Manual Mill, Lathe, grinders,
bandsaws and other machine shop equipment based on project needs.
This position requires strong knowledge of machine shop practices,
materials, tooling, and layout techniques. With a competitive
hourly rate ranging from $35-$40 depending on experience, your

Primary Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering drawings
and specifications to determine part dimensions and tolerances.
Program, set-up and operate HAAS CNC Machine and Hybrid CNC Mill.
Set up and operate lathes, mills, and other conventional and manual
machinery. Machine and grind components to precise specifications.
Select or design, fab and install appropriate fixtures, cutting
tools, and accessories. Calculate proper speeds and feeds based on
material type and tooling. Use precision measuring instruments
(e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gages) to verify part
accuracy. Use computers to locate files, print drawings, and
inspect 3D models using tools like eDrawings. CAD/CAM 5 year
minimum (Master CAM or Rhino CAM a plus). Perform work assignments
from the Working Foreman and collaborate with the team as needed.
Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Lift
and move objects weighing: Up to 50 lbs occasionally. Up to 25 lbs
frequently. Up to 10 lbs constantly. Use hands and fingers to
handle or feel materials and tools. Ability to bend, push, pull,
and reach overhead. Work Environment High noise levels from
operating machinery. Exposure to physical hazards such as moving
machine parts. Breathing fumes, dust, and mist; exposure to oils
and fluids. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or
equivalent. 7-10 years of hands-on machining experience (Manual
Machining or similar). 5-8 years of hands-on CNC programming and
operating experience. Preferred Qualifications Vocational or
technical certification in machining. 5–10 years of experience in a
machining or fabrication environment. Exceptional math and
mechanical aptitude. Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Highly skilled with blueprint reading and 3D model interpretation.
Team-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to
plan, multitask, and perform under pressure. Additional Skills &
Traits Effective communicator-both written and verbal. Positive and
professional demeanor. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Able to
follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
Organized and detail-oriented. Ability to work efficiently in a
fast-paced environment. Willingness to perform other duties as
assigned by management. Machining-Specific Skills: Strong
understanding of feeds and speeds for various tools, including:
Endmills Drills Reamers Shell mills Ability to estimate machining
times, including: Very basic profile parts More complex parts made
