Come be a part of our mission!Northrop Grumman's Payload & Ground Systems in Azusa CA is seeking a Sr. Principal Electromechanical Engineer (Level 4) to join our hardware engineering team. This role will report on-site daily. We can accommodate partial teleworking, but this is fully dependent upon business/program/team need.About the Role:Deputy AI&T lead (Assembly, Integration and Test) for satellite payload program.Mechanical design, integration and test exposure with willingness to help with real-time design changes (on the floor) supporting hardware integration. Lead or exposure working with a multidiscipline team. Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of electromechanical systems.Applies electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results; construction of developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components; and quality testing. Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems.Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field with 9 years related technical engineering experience in a Space /Defense industry position, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field & 7 years of related technical engineering experience in a space/defense industryCurrent & active DoD secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Experience with design modeling and/or drawing efforts using 3-D CAD modeling tool CREOExperience leading a multidisciplinary team.Current/Active TS/SCI security clearance"Salary Range: $129,700 USD - $194,500 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
