our mission!Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector in Azusa, CA is
seeking a Principal (Level 3) or Sr. Principal (Level 4) FPGA
Digital Engineer to join our hardware engineering team. This
position will report on-site daily, but we can accommodate partial
teleworking on a hybrid model based upon business/team
need.Selected candidate will be a part of a team that develops new
products for the on orbit signal processing of infrared imagery for
national assets that help to protect the country. Primary
assignment will be the design and analysis of digital signal
processing electronics for space systems using the latest available
space technologies such as on-orbit programmable Field Programmable
Gate Arrays (FPGA), Systems on a Chip (SoCs), multi-gigabit SERDES
communication, on-board processing Single Board Computers (SBCs)
and more. This includes working through all phases of a development
program including requirements definition and refinement,
requirement flow-down and allocation, design, coding, and
verification.Basic Qualifications: (Principal Level 3)Bachelor's
degree in electrical, electronics, computer engineering, or related
STEM degree & 5 years of related engineering experience, OR a
Master's Degree in electrical, electronics, computer engineering,
or related STEM degree & 3 years of related engineering
experienceExperience with Field Programmable Gate Arrays
(FPGAs)Current & active DoD secret security clearanceFor Sr.
Principal Engineer (Level 4)Bachelor's degree in electrical,
electronics, computer engineering, or related STEM degree & 9 years
of related engineering experience, OR a Master's Degree in
electrical, electronics, computer engineering, or related STEM
degree & 7 years of related engineering experienceExperience with
Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs)Current & active DoD secret
security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in
electrical, electronics, computer engineering, or related specialty
(Digital signal processing, VLSI, etc)Experience with multi-gigabit
SERDES communicationExperience implementing image processing
algorithms in FPGAsExperience with design, analysis, and
architecture of digital signal processing electronics systemsTS/SCI
clearanceSalary Range: $111,600 USD - $139,500 USDSalary Range 2:
$138,300 USD - $207,500 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
