Strategic Force Programs (SFP) Business Unit is seeking a Staff
(Level 5) Special Test Equipment Electronics Engineer to join our
team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be
located in Azusa, CA and report under our hardware engineering
team. We are looking for someone who has the ability to report
on-site, but we can accommodate partial teleworking based upon
business/program need.Exciting opportunity for a technical and
functional deputy leader of an emerging Special Test Equipment
(STE) organization focusing on the design, development, assembly,
Integration & Test (I&T), and validation of Special Test
Equipment (STE) for Space hardware. Responsibilities will include
to further help evolve our technology and grow our business into
new domains and markets. In this role you will be responsible for
technical and program leadership of a multi disciplined STE team
for the design, development, assembly, Integration & Test
(I&T), and validation of Electrical Engineering STE for Space
Hardware. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is
passionate about leadership, diversity & inclusion, advances in
technology, has a creative mindset, dedicated to catalyzing
continuous improvements, and enjoys proactive interaction and
collaboration with multiple engineering teams and functional
disciplines.Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field & 14 years of related
technical engineering experience, OR a Master's Degree & 12 years
of related technical engineering experience
- Extensive technical and functional engineering leadership
experience as an Integrated Product Team Lead responsible for
program cost and schedule accountability
- Proposal and program development experience, including: Earned
Value Management Systems (EVMS), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS),
Technical Description (TD), and Basis of Estimate (BOE)
creation
- Extensive team leadership experience in an Engineering
laboratory transitioning from design to production / manufacturing
performing Special Test Equipment (STE) hardware, software, &
firmware integration and test activities through creating assembly
procedures and test plans
- Experience with presenting program status and program cost and
schedule accountability reviews throughout the engineering product
lifecycle for executive leadership, functional management, and/or
senior level internal / external stakeholders
- Experience with creating and presenting formal review
packages
- Experience with testing hardware and/or STE supporting testing
activities
- Experience developing and operating STE
- Demonstrated problem solving, organization, coordination, and
planning skills
- Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD security clearance (US
Citizenship Required)Preferred Qualifications:
- Current & active DoD security clearance
- Experience in Space Systems
- Experience with supporting formal reviews such as Test
Readiness Review (TRR) and Failure Review Board (FRB)
- Experience programming in LabVIEW and/or LabVIEW FPGA
- Demonstrated test equipment trouble-shooting and failure
diagnosis experience
- Knowledge of environmental test methods and practices for Space
Hardware
- In-depth understanding of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS)
computer architecture, interconnect/interfaces, and standard
communication protocols
- Experience with standard industry requirements management tools
like DOORS
- Experience in generating Verification Compliance Requirements
Matrices, Requirements Verification Plans, Test Requirements
Documents, Test Procedures and Requirements Sell-off Documents
- Knowledge of environmental test methods and practices
- Experience working in an engineering laboratory and transition
to production environments performing STE hardware, software, &
firmware integration and test activities Salary Range: $156,000 USD
- $234,000 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus
in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
