knowledge.Job DescriptionAbout the role:Join Takeda as a Sr.
Maintenance Mechanic, Boiler Operator where you will operate and
maintain the Critical Utilities Systems and associated areas. As
part of the Engineering team, you will report to the Critical
Systems Manager and work with multiple groups within the
facility.**You will work Monday - Friday (10:00 PM to 6:30 AM) and
will be offered a shift differential to your base pay**How you will
contribute:
- Perform preventive maintenance and complete corrective work
orders for utilities systems
- Respond to urgent and emergency work orders
- Complete Change Control documentation (PRs)
- Manage the operation and repairs of Utilities Systems and
associated mechanical and electrical equipment
- Provide troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair of systems,
equipment and equipment components
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, UBS, UMC and UPC in
compliance with L.A. City, CA state and federal EPA regulation and
laws.What you bring to Takeda:
- City of Los Angeles Unlimited Steam Engineer's license is
required (or ability to obtain license within 90 days of
employment)
- High school diploma or GED required and 4+ years of experience
OR an A.A./A.S. technical discipline or Journeyman skilled craft
training/apprenticeship certificate or commensurate combination of
technical education and experience
- Familiarity with generally accepted building, plumbing, piping,
electrical, and fire protection practices and codes
- Knowledge of instrumentation and mechanical systems, such as
controllers, indicators, control valves, PLC, analyzers, sensors,
pumps, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of Delta V and CMMS systems such as JDE, Maximo, and
Blue Mountain RAM
- You will be proficient in mathematical disciplines and work
with both the metric and USA standards of measurement
- Can read and interpret technical documents and instructions,
electrical and mechanical drawings, equipment blue prints and
piping and instrumentation drawings (P&ID)What Takeda can offer

- Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and
wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.
This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
- Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail
polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing
environment.
- Work in a cold, wet environment.
- Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work
supplemental hours
- Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and
