Job Description:
A company is looking for a Billing Follow Up Representative I -
Behavioral Health.
Key Responsibilities
Review accounts and apply billing follow-up knowledge for insurance
payors to ensure proper reimbursement
Communicate with internal teams and external customers to resolve
outstanding claims and validate information
Maintain documentation of billing activities and comply with Key
Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assigned payers
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Typically requires 1 year of related experience in a
medical/billing reimbursement environment
Basic keyboarding proficiency and ability to operate relevant
software systems
Familiarity with medical terminology, coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS),
and insurance practices preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as explanations of
benefits (EOB)
