Job Description We're looking for a Accounting Specialist who has experience in the concrete construction field to join our mid-sized concrete construction company As an Accounting Specialist based out of our Azusa office, you will perform accounting duties of average to difficult complexity. We need a self-starter who can multitask effectively. Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills are essential. You need to be proficient in applications such as QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft office suite Excel, Outlook, word, Adobe pro. You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting. You must have experience in the construction field related to accounting This is a full-time on-site position. Essential Functions: Basic cost accounting and margin analysis Data entry and reconciliation between multiple systems Communicate efficiently and effectively with clients regarding accounting Support the AP/AR process and procedures Support different elements of the month end close and reporting processes Labor reporting and accounting Other balance sheet reconciliation processes Ad hoc project support Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable Managing bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing Performing month-end closings Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules Supervising accounting clerks and junior bookkeepers Preparing the trial balance Job costing Journal entries Qualifications: Associates Degree preferred Fundamental knowledge of GAAP 5 years--- work experience in accounting Strong business acumen and professionalism, excellent presentation skills with solid communication skills both verbal and written Self-motivated, fast learner, good work ethic, detail and deadline-oriented and ability to multitask Proficient in computing and network skills, specifically MS Office Suite, specifically excel, Adobe Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop is required What We Offer: Our extensive benefits package includes: Competitive Salary Medical, dental, and vision benefits after 2 months of employment 401(k) contributions of up to 3% after 1 year of employment Sick pay after 3 months of employment Vacation after 1 year of employment Paid holidays License Renewal Fees Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, on site position in our Azusa office Supplemental Pay: Bonus pay based on work performance and annual revenue.
