Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Azusa, CA is seeking a Budget Analyst (Level 2) to join our team of diverse individuals. This position will report to the Business Management group supporting our Payload & Ground Systems team. The Payload and Ground Systems organization within the Northrop Grumman Space Systems pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in various sciences. Our team is chartered with providing the skills, innovative technologies to develop, design, produce and sustain optimized product lines across the sector while providing a decisive advantage to the warfighter. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Compiles and reviews overall budgets for organizational units using forecasts, actual performance, previous budget figures, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administrationPrepares affordability analyses for Calendar Year (CY) budgetsPrepares financial plans, prepares regular and special-purpose reports, maintains historical records, analyzes trends, prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds, and determines rationale for variances between costs and budgetMonitors compliance of financial policies, interpret policies for non-routine activitiesSets up Intercompany Work Orders (IWOs) neededApplies principles of accounting to analyze general ledger account balances, researching and processing adjustments/corrections.Supports Government auditsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting & 3 years of related experience, OR a Master's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting & 1 years of related experienceExperience with indirect budgeting, accounting, and cost accounting standardsAbility to obtain & maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance (US Citizenship Required)Proficient in Microsoft Office ProductsPreferred Qualifications:4+ years of accounting, budget analyst, financial planning/analyst, or related experienceExperience with SAPCurrent & active DoD security clearanceSalary Range: 61400 - 92000Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
