TEC West has partnered with an environmental contractor in Azusa, California to assist them in finding an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team!Some highlights of the opportunity:* With 25 years in the industry, this company is known as one of the most trusted and experienced environmental contractors in California* Opportunity to take on an exciting, newly created role as the company grows through acquisitions across the state* Currently a partially remote position* Offering a competitive salary, discretionary bonus and 401KThe Senior Accountant--is expected to utilize hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices to perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses. Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Develop, maintain and utilize complex financial reporting schedules using Excel and similar BI Tools.* Accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports using Excel and Accounting systems* Produce Weekly KPI reports and Dashboards* Produce and distribute Monthly Reporting Packs to Internal and External Management.* Complete monthly financial analysis, variance and trend analysis with appropriate commentary.* Provide schedules and commentary with respect to Monthly Management Reporting Packs* Discuss and analyze monthly financial reports with Managers.* Assisting with Financial and Tax audits* Coordinate complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.* Monitor and ensure compliance with company-wide accounting policies and procedures.* Complete Balance Sheet reconciliations* Perform such other accounting and financial tasks as may be required from time to time by their supervisor or other managers.* Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data* Analyze current procedures and recommend changes to develop and implement best practice accounting procedures* Producing Due Diligence reviews and recommendations for the reporting and consolidation of acquired Companies* Training and mentoring junior staffQualifications* Minimum of 5 years accounting experience* Experience within a Big 4 or top tier accounting firm* Degree in Accounting* CPA, or working towards a CPA license
